Permission to Reuse Content Required
All Kennedy Information periodicals are copyrighted and contain the "Notice" posted at the bottom each document. Kennedy Information licenses or permits for the usage, reproduction, redistribution, reference, or other excerpting of contents on a case-by-case basis, and may charge a fee for such license or permission, depending on the nature and extent of the usage.
Licensing and Reprint Procedure
Be prepared to provide the following information when requesting usage license/permission:
- Excerpt Content — the nature and extent of the content being excerpted.
- Reference — the publication name; page number; figure number, paragraph number, or other description.
- Delivery Mechanism — whether you seek to reproduce the content as is, reformat it, or repurpose it in some other way.
- Business Purpose — the commercial purpose for which the information will be used (e.g., for business development, promotional, or other marketing purposes) and the audience to whom the contents will be distributed.
- Distribution Channel & Medium — where and in what format and/or medium the contents will be distributed (e.g., part of an electronic or hardcopy presentation deck; part of a hardcopy newsletter; sent within an e-mail; posted on internal intranet or knowledge management system; posted on a Web site.
- Distribution Quantity — Number of copies.
- Authorized Licensee— Individual in the organization with responsibility and authority to license intellectual property and to ensure abidance of licensing terms and conditions (including maintaining control over any prospective, subsequent use or distribution of the licensed content).
