Sustainability Is About More Than Doing the Right Thing - Consulting Must Yield Results
The ability to measure achievements and report on progress made is important to most clients. “I am working with companies that very clearly want goals and objectives and measurement”, reports Coro Strandberg, head of Strandberg Consulting. “I am also working with companies that want to report on their performance to their stakeholders. There are global standards for sustainability reporting, which most companies are following, which obliges the company to have indicators and targets.”
One common objective is cost savings. Another is strengthening of the brand. The purchasing process is also frequently addressed. “Most companies are in somebody’s supply chain”, observes Strandberg. “Increasingly, the supply chain is demanding more sustainability performance, so changes are needed to be in compliance with expectations of the purchaser or buyer.”
